ENERTRAG appoints Dr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz as Member of the Management Board for Projects International & Technology

Dauerthal, 1st February 2024 - ENERTRAG announces the appointment of Dr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz (47) to the Management Board of ENERTRAG SE with effect from 1st April 2024. He will be responsible for the newly created Board portfolio "Projects International & Technology".

The Supervisory Board of ENERTRAG SE has decided to expand the existing three-member Management Board and appoint Dr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz, currently Divisional Head of New Energy Solutions, to the Management Board. With this appointment, ENERTRAG recognises its successful international growth and technological pioneering role in renewable power plants, particularly in the design and construction of the urgently needed green hydrogen infrastructure in Germany and worldwide.

Dr. Bischof-Niemz is already responsible for the company's international activities and sector coupling approaches. His vision of innovative and sustainable energy solutions has played a key role in positioning ENERTRAG as one of the leading companies in the field of renewable energies.

Dr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz has more than 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and an impressive track record in managing complex international projects. As a proven expert in his field, he has been working for ENERTRAG since 2017.

Before joining ENERTRAG, Dr. Bischof-Niemz successfully established and managed the South African National Research Council's (CSIR) Energy Transition Centre, which today has 90 employees. He also served as a member of the advisory council to the Minister of Energy in South Africa. Previously, he worked as a senior consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in Frankfurt a.M. Dr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz studied engineering and energy policy in Darmstadt, Berkeley and New York.

Dr. Bischof-Niemz is enthusiastic about his new role: "It is an honour to be appointed to the Management Board after several intensive and eventful years as Divisional Head.
